Well thats another reason it sounds like that. Go to the shop and tell them to put on some 3'' pipe.
2005 Cavalier LS Sport M5
http://members.cardomain.com/firefighter8615
Still after i let off the gas you can hear it..note this was before i got my exhaust leak (on the straight pipe) fixed. I havent heard it on a run like that with it fixed.
true , but it still sounds so ricey at high rpm's. Would the 3" pipes help that any? I think i probably just need a new muffler..
Also what do you guys think of the straight pipe? Should I leave it or get a cat put on (i dont live in the city so i dont have to do inspection) It makes my car sound a lot deeper then my other camaro i used to own that had a cat.. and i heard it will give me like 10hp w/o it. what do u guys think?
Normal...also, you're revving a V6 with no load on th motor (in park or neutral). THEY ALL SOUND BAD LIKE THAT! Yours just sounds worse because of the Flowmaster.

I have a flowmaster and it sounds nothing like that. I definately think there is something wrong there but I'm only 17 so Im sure you guys are more experienced than I am. My flowmaster sounds a lot deeper and has never made any higher pitched exhaust notes like that in your video. I dunno man
Well I did have an exhaust leak in the video remember.. now that its fixed its a little deeper and louder.. since all the flow is going to the muffler and not leaking -- and i have no cat.
Sorry for not gettin back to you on the question, didn't see it till a minute ago. I've got the stock Y87 exhaust with a Carsound Cat. I've done a little to the intake. You can hear my exhaust pretty good in the next two videos, just try to ignore my roomie: http://www.supermotors.org/getfile/1.../Burnout-1.avi 1.5 MB http://www.supermotors.org/getfile/144410//donut.avi 2.95 MB (I'm not gonna hit anything, pole is alot further away than it looks).
The 4000 RPM limit in park and neutral is normal, test the limiter in 1st gear and drive around a little bit, you should get a bit closer to 6000 RPM.

No, that's your torque converter. [/QUOTE]That actually could be his traction control. Traction control makes the motor rev like it's on a limiter because it bogs it down when the tires spin. He didn't say exactly what the car was doing when he does a brake stand. But most likely, it is the convertor since the stock stall is right around there.
You should be able to do a burnout with or without the cat. Just make sure the tracion control is off when you try it.
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
