PO305...Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected
the guy at autozone said i should get a full tune up, replace all the spark plugs and such
the car has been idling rough and if i really punch the acceleration, the engine just shuts off
think this will solve the problem?

yep.. if you have never done them before set aside about 3 hrs or so to do them.. unless of course you have headers.. don't get in a hurry.. when you put everythiing back together be careful with the routing of your wires, (a drop light helps with this also)
of course do a visual inspection first because it could just be a loose wire... last time I had a cylinder 5 misfire it was my coil.. though if your plugs and wires have never been done I'd bet that's the problem
