2000 37000 miles: what should my oil pressure be? it used to be at a little over 60 for as long as i can remember. now i notice now that it fluctuates-falls below 60 when i am at a stop. it raises above 60 when i accelerate and will stay up when driving, but i dont ever recall it falling below 60 before or maybe i am just now noticing it. am i going crazy?

Mine drops a little below 60 when i'm at a stop. I think its normal.

Mine is the exact same... it used to stay constant around 60, now it fluctuates... up when i accelerate, down when i idle.

Everyone mechanically inclined that iv'e asked said that the way it is now is more normal and less of a concern than the way it was.

      I wouldn't worry

Yep I agree, I think its normal. But it will fluctuate more if you are low on oil. Make sure oil level is full.

yes i do burn oil so i am always checking my level. it seems that i am burning up to a quart every 3 weeks. at that rate i really dont need oil changes at all if it was not for the filter.

what warranty? even if i had less than 36000 miles i have had a wicked idle since 20000 and a high stall since 17000. i lost my warranty practically the day i bought my car. any dealership would die laughing if i went in there and said i wanted warranty work.
