okay. i had a problem with my alternator. i replaced that.
the alternator is a 160amp alternator.
when i first started it up, it was all good.
but now, it sits below the 13 mark. when idling, its on the edge of the yellow. when i hit the brakes, it has a power drain. when i put it into nuetral, its like the alternator stops working. same with park. when the car is htoter, it APPEARS to have a lesser voltage reading.
i also have a 400W amp drawing power, but thats never caused a problem.
okay, those are the problems.
what do you think could be the problem?
a wire is burnt somewhat?(i've checked these, and they don't appear to be bad, but i'm probably missing something)
a bad ground from the battery?(i've heard that its sometimes too small)
how i have my system hooked up?(i have it into that red box. i've heard that it might be too much of a strain on the power wire from the battery going into that. since its a smaller guage or something.)
any other suggestions? or possible fixes?
