Hello. My friend has just bought a 87 camaro t roof with a automatic 2.8L V6 in it. He is really proud of it [img]graemlins/love.gif[/img] , and since i am his only friend who is into muscle cars he asked to help him soup it up. unfortunatly, I have only heard of bad about these motors. :( . I am hoping some of you can disspell the myths and/or help me out with some tips on how to get him some horsepower. Any suggestions are welcome [img]smile.gif[/img]
QUESTIONS:
1. are their any air silencer like objects i can remove out of the air intake?
2. Is it better for him to get true duel exhaust , or a bigger pipe from the manifolds back? are their headers out there for these motors?
3. Can timing be advanced without side effects to the motor? Will he need a chip for that? what can it be advanced to?
4. Are there any parts such as throttle bodys or something that I can take off a similar era gm vehical to improve performance?
