  • squeak coming from right front tire

Well, the other day i was driving and it was pouring down raining. I accidentally hit a bump so hard my cd player skipped. The next day i noticed an steady squeak on the right front tire. I jacked the car up and i rotated the tire around and it kept making a squeaky noise. Today i'm gonna take the tire out of and find out where the squeaky noise is coming from. Just wondering what anybody might think it is.

So, with the wheel off the ground, if you spin it, it squeeks?

Sounds like either your brakes are rubbing the rotor, or the wheel bearing is fubar'd.

There really isn't much else to have squeek on a wheel with the suspension unloaded.

Yea, the brake pads seem to be really tight against the rotor, 'cause i figured there might be a gap between it but there is not, i tried gappin' it but i dont wanna F it up. I'm gettin' a whole front and back complete break job friday. Hope this fixes the problem.

Oh, well, how expensive is a wheel bearing? I'm still gettin' the brake job on friday 'cause i need new brakes anyways. Can i change or fix the wheel bearing myself? I was gonna do my brakes but i really have no time right now with two jobs, amateur soccer league, and school.
