  • Question about coolant flush and knock sensor

I will be doing a coolant flush on my wifes 97 firebird this weekend, and I wanted to know, do any of you remove the knock sensor on the engine to drain all the coolant out of the block? I think I saw it last time I was changing oil. It looks like the same one on my lt1. I coulnt ever get it off my lt1 though, it just wouldnt budge!!

I just wanted to know if I should remove it.

    Thanks

    Jason

The tech manuals say to take it off to let the coolant out, but I've never gotten mine to budge either. I didn't try real hard though. Just seemed easier to stick the hose in and force it all out.
