Well the gf was driving the car and she was driving down a dirt driveway with deep holes in it, of course she scrapped bottom of the car really hard. Now when you put the car in reverse it makes a grinding noise while backing up and the exhaust rattles. :( I was thinking it might be a tranny mount, any ideas what if could be? also the car is an A4, thanks

Strange Shaking Noise in Reverse

Well I'm at work right now but I went out and looked at the car and it started and was quite and then when I put it in reverse the noise was back. Drove around the block and I hurt the rattling when I hit a pothole, parked the car and left it in reverse with the e-brake up, my cat is what looks like is making the noise rattling, I put my foot up against it and no noise at all. I'll be putting the car up on jacks tommorow and taking a closer look just to make sure. If it is gone I think I'll just removed the cat and put in a striaght pipe since there is no emissions for where I live. Thanks for the reply also Cassie, it might be something similiar going on with yoursLee
97 Red Camaro 3.8L V6, Wings West Spoiler, Alpine 6.5 Lcd, Mobile Dvd Player and more
http://www.cardomain.com/id/red97camaro
