Not only would it not run, but a piston would very quickly meet a valve.

97' Dodge Neon w/ 113,000 miles on it. dies and or stutters when you let off the gas and a pop when it started, knocks, white smoke from exhaust, steam from behind motor, and bubbles in the radiator. blown head gasket IMO :(

timing belt looks fine but slightly loose but not bad

im going to tow it to my house and take it apart for inspection. hopefully it didnt hydrolock cause i dont want to take the bottom end apart if i can help it :\ well see, after that, im going to tow it to my school so i can put it back together in class :D

do a compression test, I am leaning towards, 90% chance of blown head gasket, from the symptons and neons are well known for blown head gaskets.

yeah, my teacher did one last year so it should go over well. i plan on to doing a compression and cylinder leaking test

i plan on replacing the top end anyways because of the mileage and plus it has been ticking/knocking for months now. never tought about a blown gasket tell now. just figured i was flotting a lifter or something like that you know
