Everytime I accelerate, whether it is slow or fast I hear a strange noise almost like a squeal. It appears to be coming from my drive belt/pulleys. I ran a wet towl over the belt when the car was off and there was a strange fluid on the belt. I've cleaned it off several times but it keeps happening. I plan on replacing the belt this week but I think the power steering pump may be leaking some fluid. There is no visible leaks and no fluids are found under the car.
The only time you hear the noise is when I accelerate or rev the engine but mainly when I accelerate. It has become more consistant and seems to happen areound the 1.5 - 2 K RPM range. It happens in this range the most and the loudest. Any suggestions, ideas, etc. ANy help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
