I've been wondering along these same lines. I have a 1996 engine (3.8l..got everything i need..i think) im putting in my 1995 car(3.4L a4). The projected hp after cam, head work, full header back exhaust and very nice air intake is around 280hp.

I don't want to start any flame wars, this is a good topic. But I just had to step in and say 280 HP from a 3.8L engine with the mods you list is NOT accurate. People on this board with turbo's and supercharger's aren't even getting that much HP. (close to it though, from what I've read) In anycase, I don't know how you came up with that number, but don't expect that much HP.
On topic, fastchip is the biggest load of ****. They want $300 JUST to remove the speed limiter? I'm still looking to find a cheaper way to do it.
From the way I look at it, If a stock civic can go 125 MPH + ..then I would imagine these engines can get up there.
