  • 3.4L PCV problem (Not the valve...help please:) )

Ok...I was chaning the PCV Valve today and pulled on it...this made a rubber V shaped connector (for lack of vocabulary) break. In my vac. line obviously. If you have a 3.4L look for it

    l.l........l.l o --PCV valve here
    l.l........l.l
    .\.\_O_/./
    ..\......./
    ....l...l

*Please excuse the periods..only way for it to look right.
That above is a poorly made TB from the top...the O is the part that broke...it is rubber, but it didn't bend.

HTF do I fix this. i was given part # 10217828
(gmpartdirect.com)...But it came up as a harness..is this the right part?

Is there some kind of Glue I can use to fix this?

Yes, that is the right part number and you will get the entire new vacuum line connecting the PCV valve to the Y in the front of the manifold and then to the EVAP harness on the driver's side of the manifold. The part is cheap and is the one you are looking for.

yeah I broke one of the pieces of that vac harness too during my head swap a few months back. In order to replace a small piece you must get the entire harness and it cost me $16.xx, and the dealers around here usually run a bit pricey. good luck!

Its right on top of the upper intake plenum. Jsut behind the TB?

Its what they said you have to buy lie a whole new vacuum line setup jsut to get that one part.

        Mine cost me like $8.

I glued mine, but the piece was very hard, and cracked in another spot. The difference between a new one and an old one is pretty big. Its actually a rubber piece.

Trust me its worth just getting a new part instead of fixing the one.

I tried to do ghetto rigging, since lack of Chevy dealers that are not overwhelmed with stuff, but was on a road trip and was cruising by a Chevy dealership/parts warehouse stopped at it and picked up the part.

Yeah, I don't remember it being $16 either. Mine was under $10.
