  • Battery cover!

ARGH I need a battery cover or something, water keeps on gettin to my battery. Im in PA, just got tons of rain today, lots of puddles and stuff but i go slow and dont splash through puddles or anything. So I drove through acouple slowly, get to a light in turning lane, I notice my lights dim inside, and look at my battery gauge its going down then up then down pretty crazy! Im like **** let me make this turn please. So i did turn and got to safe good streets incase my car died, but made it home. Opened up my hood and bam, water markings near battery pretty bad. Seems like water hit my battery again. Is this the problem? I changed the alternator bout a month ago cause I was havin a problem like this. Maybe a lose wire. ARGH.

When you stop at the light or just stop after driving and your rpm keeps fluctuating between 1000 and 400, I think this means computer adjusting fuel-air ratios for optimal fuel economy. When it drops below 500rpm, the gauges and all lights will dim for brief instance.

If your interior lights and dash lights are flickering occasionally it could also be that your alternator is not producing enough current, so you might want to change or check it so it doesnt leave you stranded somewhere.

if your alternator isn't putting out power that means that your battery is gonna get drained.

the alternator even when it is running perfect will never fully charge your car battery.

i'd say get the alternator checked and put your battery on a battery charger if it needs it.

Sounds like your belt is slipping because of the excess amount of water getting on it. When was the last time it was replaced?
