IMO, the climate would probably dictate which weight oil I would use.
5w is for colder climates, 10w is for warmer climates. I use 10w-30 in my Camaro all year around (because it doesn't get used in the winter). While I run 5w-30 in my truck all year around. Both those weights are manufacturer recommended.
But if I was to drive the Camaro (and that's a BIG if) in the winter, I'd change to a 5w.
Any of those brands are good enough to use. They all have to meet spec.
Becareful if you decide to switch to synthetics with high mileage, heard they tend to piss off your gaskets. I use Valvoline Maxlife ( i have 120000+ miles ).. but it really isn't a BIG deal on what kind you use, its how often you change it. As long as you change it every 3000 miles and use half decent stuff, you'll be ok

I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
