a year ago I had ignition problems .. changed plugs and wires.. and all was well.. then realized a month later I ran the wires wrong and the miss came back.. put in new wires.. ran them much more carefully this time... and all was good..
this afternoon I was pulling out of my apartment complex and the car was running fine.. I go a couple of blocks.. then wait for someone to turn.. start to go on and BAM!.. car starts missing like crazy.. it was like someone threw a swtich.. i get lunch and on the way back home I get an SES light..
sooo...... my first order of business when I get off work is to get underneath and see if anything came off looked under the hood nothing seems out of place..
anyway my question is.. has anyone experienced an igintion problem like this?? one minute everything is fine the next the car is missing...
when my wires went bad it was a gradual thing and was originally missing just when the engine was under a load..
but this time it went from fine to a constant miss..
if you have had this happen what was your problem?? how did you fix it??
I forgot to add.. the motor was cold when it suddenly happened.. the car had been sitting up since the night before and was running for maybe 2 minutes when this happened..
I stopped and popped the hood when it happened and was able to put my hand on the intake without burning it...
