They both make the car run cooler creating more horsepower. 160 degree thermo makes car cooler than 180. 160 cool lead to less heat during winter time at highway speeds, rumor of car going into a loop condition (can't remember open or closed). you dont need a manual fan switch, no one has said anything about that. the thermostat uses releases coolant to cool the engine, whats the manual fan switch needed for?
