Ok my buddy got a hold of an LS1 out of a 98 camaro. It only has 5000miles on it the camaro it came out of was totaled. I have already inspected the engine. The crank, bearings, and pistons all look good. He wants $900 for it my question is if i put it into a 01 v6 camaro will I have to get a new tranny also. I have the 4speed auto tranny will it work with the LS1 engine dosnt the auto z28 have the 4speed with OD also?
