I am looking to buy a 1996 camaro 3.8 with a 5speed. i was wondering if there are only one model or if there are performance models of the v6. do the rs have the v6 engine? witch car witha v6 would be the fastest regular coupe or RS? thanks just want the best car to build on and make fast. i want a v6 because I want a challenge. thanks for the help.

Only real "performance" option is Y87. The only difference between the regular coupe and the RS is all visual.
On a 96 the best way to tell if it has the Y87 package is to see if it has 4 wheel disc brakes. If it does then it has the Y87.2000 GTP<br />Thrasher CAI, 3.4\" pulley, DHP PCM<br />Member RedLineVSix<br />Best ET-14.02<br />Best Trap-97.15
