turns signal lens.....help!

my turn signal and day time running light just blew out and we changed the day time light but we can't figure out how to get the lens off to change the turn signal...or is there another way???


and there is a lot of water(condensation)in that same light and i think that is why the bulbs went out cause they both went out at the same time and the other turn signal has no water in it...what can be done about this?

Um, the DRL and turn signal are the same bulb. You should have replaced a bulb #3157. Its a dual filament bulb that acts as the DRL and turn signal, as well as a dimmer light when the head lamps are on.

but how do i change it....on a my 2000 camaro we just changed the daytime running light, with a #194 (i think) and that light works now...there are two lights in there...cuase only half the corner lens works and we see the other bulb but can't get to it...

That little 194 is a parking light, not the turn signal/DRL.

To change the 3157, first remove the headlamp lens assembly from the side with the blown bulb. There's a 10mm bolt that connects a black horizontal bracket to another bracket, remove it. Unplug the low and high beam, then remove the headlamp lens assembly from the car by pushing to the left (or right depending on which side you are replacing) and then pull forward. You will have to work at it because the black weather stripping likes to get caught up on the front facia. Once the lens assembly is out, the bulb for the DRL/turn signal will be directly below. It comes out from the top of the DRL lens assembly. It is a 3157.

Install everything back reversing the directions I gave you.

Your 2000 model should have flaps underneath the car on each side held by two bolts (each). Simply unscrew the two bolts, fold down the flap, you'll see all of the bulbs from underneath the car.

Taking the headlight assemblies out are not necessary. Changing both turn signal bulbs shouldn't take more than 5 minutes total! It only took me 30 minutes to install my clear corners through that flap!

same way, just pull unscrew/pull back brush gaurd underneath the nose and you should be able to see the housing...
