  • Funny Turn Signal

Whenever I have my turn signal on, I have no clue if it is going to work anymore. Right or left, the blinker is very erratic. Sometimes there are 3 full second before two chimes, while sometimes it will do 12 in a row extremely fast. What is the error?

      your bulb sounds loose

there is a glue goo they use to seal the bulbs in, over time it melts and causes a bad connection.

Usually the bulb is still good, but the goo caused a poor connection and thus eradict operation.

So what do I need to do exactly? Sorry about this, but I kinda need a howto for things like this, since I am still a rookie, even if I am a postwhore. ;)

            35 posts... i wouldn't call you a postwhore yet ;)

If it's just your left or right turn signal doing this, then it narrows down the bulbs you should check. If it's just the left side, check all your left signal bulbs to see if they're burnt out or have a bad connection. If it's boths sides, check all 4 corners. You have to come from under the car to access the front signals. first you take the air dam off that directs air to your radiator and then there is one plastic cover piece that comes off from each side then you should be able to see the signals. In the back, pull your interior carpet in the back well forward to locate the 3 (I think 3...) black plastic screws that hold your tail light assembly in on each side. unscrew them with your fingers and pull the light housing out. you should be able to take it from there.
