A co-worker of mine is always bashiny my car because its a v6. He has a 2001 Mustang GT Bullit, manual tranny. The only mod he has is a K & N air filter. Do i have a chance? Are there any cheap mods i can put on my car to beat him. I want to put him in his place and laugh at him saying: "You just lost to a v6" Thanks in advance.

I have a 3.8 and beat a Bullit, he was a terrible driver and I handed his *** to him... if he is a bad driver you might have a shot, I got him on luck, nothin else.

I imagine you only chance is to hope he is a bad driver, unless you have some sort of power adder and some good gears because, the mustang should have 105hp and a whole lot of torque over you....sorryComment

Sorry to say but my advice to you is to not race him. He will most likely pull car lengths on you.You have a mid to high 16 sec car and he's possibly running 14's.2002 Grand Prix GTP- FWI Intake , flowmaster 40\'s ,3.4 pulley , and Intense racing PCM.<br />94 3.4L camaro -Lots of mods!Comment

A 3.8L V6 200hp beating a 270HP GT? Highly doubtful unless the driver missed 2 or 3 gears. Its like a Z28 LT1, they're fast. Unless you have Tiago's turbo'd 3.4L, or a 100shot, Id have to go with the GT all the way. Doesnt matter, tell him to go against another V8.... LT1 or LS1 would have no problem [img]smile.gif[/img]

I hate to say it, but I don't think you have a chance. Even if he's a bad driver, he would have to wreck his car not to beat you. A 3.8 might have a chance (a very small chance,) but I wouldn't bet on the 3.8 either.
