OK... I'm on my 3rd alternator now...
My battery voltage just keeps dropping into the yellow and stays there for no damn reason at all. I am on my 3rd alternator and it is STILL doing it.
So either a) guage isn't reading right b) battery doesn't hold voltage for long periods of time c) got another bad alternator or d) some other crap is going on.
I don't know wtf is wrong, do you guys think I just got another bad alternator? When I leave in the morning after my car was off over night, the gauge shows HIGH voltage, like 14.5 or 15, then as I start driving it slowly goes down. After a while it reads slightly over 13. If I turn my AC on, it will be perfectly in the middle reading 13, sometimes a little lower.
I dunno whats up with my electrical system. When we replaced the alternator this time, I havn't been using my stereo figuring the excess current the stereo is demanding was frying my alternator so I havn't been listening to it real loud, except about 5 times total in a month. Other than that, it's been on real low.
