I have a 97 Firebird 3800 with 102,000 miles on it and it uses about a quart of oil every 3,000 mi. No leaks ,gaskets have been replaced 2 yrs. ago. I know cars use oil but is this a little extream ?

1 qt every 3k miles isn't so bad. Probably a small piston-ring leak or valve seal leak, but really nothing to get worried about. If you start needing 1 qt a week, then it's time for some concern. ;)sigpic -

Coolant and oil look normal. I'll have to watch it and see if it keeps using this much!

im gonna recommend doing a compression test to see how good ur rings are sealing
