  • Crankshaft positioning sensor

The other day I heard a rattling coming from my engine bay, so when I got home I jacked up my car and saw that the crankshaft positioning sensor was rattling against the damper. It looks as though some plastic mounting piece broke. Temporarily I used a cable tie to keep it from rattling. Is this somthing should get taken care of right away?

Yeah, the crank position sensor is pretty important. The car won't run right at all without it.

I had mine replaced at the shop...came out to 80 dollars for everything. My car would start to just turn off at random times. Get this fixed.
