The other day I heard a rattling coming from my engine bay, so when I got home I jacked up my car and saw that the crankshaft positioning sensor was rattling against the damper. It looks as though some plastic mounting piece broke. Temporarily I used a cable tie to keep it from rattling. Is this somthing should get taken care of right away?

Yeah, the crank position sensor is pretty important. I had mine replaced at the shop...came out to 80 dollars for everything. My car would start to just turn off at random times. Get this fixed.1996 Firebird-Y87:SLP Cold Air Intake,Y87 Perf.
