I've got a '96 Camaro V6, and have been having some problems with hesitation. The hesitation primary happens when I stomp on it and the gas tank is low. If the tank is full there isn't any hesitation or only slightly. I think it's the fuel pump, but I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else.
I recently had the plugs/wires and fuel filter changed. So I don't think those are it.
Thanks for any help.

well as far as fuel pumps go in my experience either they are working or they aren't, not much inbetween...
how low in gas are we talking? in my old blazer used to hesitate when taking a curve and the tanks was low.. but it was always only for a split second.. sounds like you might just be running your tank really low..
my roomate used to have a 96 camaro that once it hit the "E" you better get some gas because you were about to run out any minute.. he ran out 2 times.. once while rolling into the gas station.. this was also proably the culprit in him eventually burning the fuel pump out also.. (just a quick word of warning there) anyway sounds like you may just be running your tank really low..

I do normally run til close to empty, but I start feeling the hesitation between 3/4 and 1/2 tank. If it's normally all or nothing with the fuel pump, any other ideas what could be causing the hesitation?
I also thought may my clutch was going or I wasn't shifting right, but it still hesitates after I've been running in the same gear, slow down, then speed up.
