  • Changing the Oil Gear?

    How do I need to do this..

    I recently ran into bad problems where my car runs outta oil pressure after it warms up? and yeah well I think its the Oil Gear.. I asked GM about the Oil Pump.. they said I do not have one that this thing serves as a Oil Pump.. so how do I change it?

    also how can I tell if my water pump is bad?

    and what is the best way to find a small leak in my coolant? I seen a line from some sort of liquid running down one of my radiator hoses. the longest one.. could that be it?

    Sounds like you need to hook up a mechanical oil pressure gauge where the oil filter goes. That'll tell you if it's really pumping or not.

    I'd be surprised if the pump actually went out.

    Note that the large gear is not what drives the pump, but the smaller ones in front of it with about 6 teeth.
