Wipers

I've had this problem since I got my car, Whenever I turn my wipers on high, the drivers side wiper slaps the side window, but it only does it on high. It did it with the wipers that the other person had on the car to. When I changed them a while back, I talked to a guy at autozone who helped me out, and he gave me a shorter blade, but it still slapped the side. Has anyone had this problem before. I was thinking it could be a problem with linkage from the motor to the arm. What do you guys think?

I don't have the same problem that you do but I was wondering. When the wipers are off, do the wipers sit completely under the hood of the car?
If they do, then I would look at the linkages for slack. If they don't (or at least the one you are having problems with), I would check to make sure that the wiper arm is properly installed.

mine used to do something similar, the passenger side would slam into the plastic cowl when on high.. what I did was simply take off the arm and re-adjust it up a little bit.... no more problems... so you may just want to adjust your driver side arm down just a bit and it won't slap anything anymore..

Wipers? What are those? I use RainX, never wipe with those things again :D

no joke rain-x and 75 on the interstate and the wippers just seem to be in the way more then they help

I would love to use rain x, but I guess the guy that owned the car before me never changed the wipers, and now I have small grooves in the window. That's my best guess why what happened, since they follow the wipers path. Rain x will work for a while, but if I don't treat the window every week or so, it hazes up :( I need to get a new front window one of these days.
