Hey I think it's time to do the plugs and wires on my car. It's got 54.3k on it now and I bought it with 49k. I don't know if they have ever been changed so I just want to get new ones in there. The car does feel sluggish at times, mostly when accelerating from a roll on the low end. I already replaced the fuel filter not too long ago. My question is what are the best plugs and wires that can be bought at a local parts store such as pep boys, autozone, kragen, etc. Thanks

I ordered my exhaust online from Summit Racing. I think it was like $265. It's a good exhaust system. I get lots of compliments.

I'd go with AC Delco plugs and wires

I just installed some Taylor 8mm wires from thunderracing.com and new NGK TR-55 plugs. Really nice idle and fires up without any struggle.

I like this setup the best. But you might have a hard time finding NGK and Taylor locally. So if thats the case get BOSCH Platinum's.

I might go ahead and order the Taylor wires and NGK plugs (TR-55 or TR-55ix?) if it's really worth it. Will I need any of the accessories they have listed on their site? $40 for the wires seems kinda expensive. I'm not sure how much these things should cost but that seems a bit high. But if it will make a big difference in responsiveness then I'll do it.

I just changed my Delco wires and Delco platinums out and put in some Taylor Spiro wires along with the Rapidfire platinums.

Both of those were hard to find...I had to order the Taylors from thunder and call a ton of Delco dealers to find the Rapidfire 14s.

So far, start ups are a lot easier and idle is a little smoother. Didn't expect any other noticable gains and didn't see any anyways.
