• Noise From Engine , Motor Mount?

Ive been having an ongoing noise from the engine the best way i can describe it is that it sounds like the engine is farting.

Does a broken motor mount make any noise? What type of noise does a leaking exhaust manifold make?

You mean like air escaping?

I don't think it's a mount, that would be more of a clunking noise. When does it do it? When your braking, stepping on the gas, idling?

Well it does it while im breaking, while its idling and while i give it a little gas also.

I dont notice it while im driving due to all the wind noise and all.

Dude, I still don't understand what is wrong w/ you're car. Is this noise making your car run bad or something? Or is it just manking that farting noise in general? Did you get it fixed?

Nah its not making it run bad at all...

one other thing i notices is that the noise is noticably louder when the AC is on...

You know, now that I think about it you might have an exhaust leak, have you tried narrowing down to where the problem is coming from? Check you're manifolds, ball joints, and where the piping meets the cat to see if you can hear it when it's on.
Hope that helps

Today i looked at it more closely and i *think* it might be the belt tensioner pulley.

That could be it. I had mine cease up and shoot off the car about a year ago. Not a pretty sight(or sound)>

Might also check your heat shield. Dont know if it would be a prob in yours but on my 98 the tongue is slipping out of the groove and rests on my exhaust and makes a farting/rattling noise.
