• I hate this f-in car...HELP!!!

Under hard acceleration the car bucks and pulls back through the entire RPM band if I go more than 50% throttle :(

What do you mean it pulls back?

do u mean that it feels like the engine is stuttering while you accelerate at higher mph?
if i floor my car from standstill, it'll accelerate fine, but if i'm crusing at highway speeds and i get on it, it'll seem to stumble and it will speed up verrrry slowly
it also idles pretty rough

it's as if the spark plugs are going I think. It hesitates. The RPMs wabble on their rise up to redline. Almost like a misfire I think

How long have you guys been driving like this. This is pretty serious to have misfires like that, I'm suprised that you didn't set a code? Anyway, visually inspect the wires and switch out the plugs, if it still continues, it's probably a coil

YOU JINXED ME...

SES light came on as I took it out tonight. It started flashing when I layed on the gas and it bucked real hard and made my flows pop and bubbly sounding. Then it would flash everytime I stepped on the gas. Now the light is just permenantly lit with the loss of power (bucking). Should I bring it to the dealership? (it'll cost me $100 deductible...or should I seek alternative solutions)

Yeah, take it to AutoZone and see what the code is. If it is a misfire, pulling the code can figure out which cylinder is misfiring (hopefully just one) or if its a random misfire.

well the light turned off now and the car still bucks...

OH AND AUTOZONE HERE IS RETARDED. They said that in Miami-Dade county they can't do it because they'll be fined $500 because they're stealing business from those who charge. What a crock of sh*t.

Hey man, I told you what to do already. You can go drop a hundo at the dealer to let them do it, just remember to bring the *** lube. You can DIY for less than $30. PLUGS AND WIRES. Nuff said. Oh and don't "lay into it" until you get it fixed. That is a sure way to blow things up. THE CAR IS HURT, FIX IT, DON'T KILL IT.

I don't have the time to change it myself...3 tests in the next 8 days plus I drive my car a lot. I'd rather suffer financially than academically right now. What SHOULD I EXPECT to pay if I brought it to a dealership or some other repair shop to do it?

dealership will rape you

go to a shop

they will charge a good amount though, its a pain to get to everything.

Really, you could probably change everything yourself in 3 hours.

Get some spark plugs, some pre-cut wires (or non-pre cut if you are in a real rush at a local store, can install using them & have them cut at a shop later -- JUST MAKE SURE they are securely fastened so the wire will not touch the manifolds, engine, anything hot), some loctite, and general hand tools (socket wrench, spark plug socket, some extensions)

www.installuniversity.com -- for a v8, but will give you some good general info on the process.

I hear you can do it w/out lifting the car, but some are easier to get to from under the car.
