  • WTF stalling / high idle

ok i have been trying to figure out what is wrong, need a little help

once every few weeks my car would randomly idle high, and after a few miles or 30 mins or a few shutdowns and resarts the car will "fix" itself.

the car throws and TPS code but the first time it did this i replace the TPS and on HPT it works fine the % goes up and down smooth.....

    so
    MAF ???
    MAP ???
    ICA ????
    cam sensro ???
    crank sensro ???

also if i'm cruising and just push my clutch in it will stall... more so when its acting up but still does it at random

i have tried a few things and done scans but i can't find the problem

My 97 camaro 3.8 M5 has a problem with stalling right after i start it usually when its warm. Im pretty sure its my fuel pressure regulator. You should have a test done to check the fuel pressure in the regulator. If its bad the pressure will drop from like 60 psi to 0, and in turn the car will stall.

Sounds similar to symptoms I was having.....

Codes pointed towards MAF sensor. Replaced that and I was as good as new.

Mine would idle high. About 1000rpm. The RPM would jump up about 300-400 rpm everytime the clutch was engaged.

It did this for around a month or so then she would just randomly die at times when the revs dropped when engaging the clutch for stop lights and what not.

Tried that too. No luck for me. I used carb cleaner. Made no difference.
