  • Wiper problem

Alright, for two years I have been driving a 94 camaro that has wiper problems. Sometimes they work fine, sometimes they dont work at all. When they do work, they usually have to be left on high, the low position will usually go through a couple of cycles, then shut off. When they dont work at all, they will either go up a little, make a clicking sound and shut off, or they will just make the clickig soud and shut off. When they turn off, they don't go all the way down either, just above the resting position. It usually always works on the spray function. Now I was going to finally replace the wiper motor. Does this sound like a motor problem. I would rather replace the motor as it is cheaper and easier than the switch. Any tips before starting the project?

I had exactly the same problem as you. So I bought a wiper motor on e-bay. Before it arrived I had a bit of spare time over, so I thought I'd dismantle the wiper motor and linkages and see if a clean up and lube would help it. I guess it did. When I got the motor out I lubed it, and turned on the wipers with the motor attached to the wires but not in the car - seemed fine. So I greased up the linkages and put everything back, and now it works fine on all settings. Wanna buy a wiper motor ?

It would be easier just to buy a motor at the salvage yard(only $15) guaranteed for 1 year. Thanks anyways.
