My AC Compressor was going out so I got a slightly used one and swapped it in there. Now when we add the R134A nothing happens. It still blows hot air and the compressor doesn't kick on whenever you turn to the AC Switch. Can anyone help?

i had that problem today on my new 98 camaro and there was not enough refrigerant to kick the compressor over and know it works great.

same thing. i added some r134a and it cooled down a little, but then it began blowing hot air again. i added another few ounces and it cooled down again, much faster and cooler though, and this time it stayed charged. i haven't had any problems so far.
      i\'m not an ambiturner.
