• I finally fixed the problem w/ my factory alarm remote..

A few days ago I wrote in about some problems I was having w/ my factory alarm remote. It wasn't working worth a crap! I even had to drive home w/ my alarm and lights going off. Well here is what I did and so far it is working like new again. First I used a real light sandpaper on the black contacts behind the buttons and then cleaned them off with a clean rag. Then very lightly I sanded the metal contacts on the green panel inside the remote. Now after I did this it started working but I still noticed I had to press down real hard to get it to work. The reason is because after pressing down on the lock/unlock buttons so many times it kinda pushes it down on the inside. So what I did was I cut out a small rubber square(from a garden hose) and slipped it under the panel right below the lock/unlock buttons. I closed it back up and now it works like new(and you can't even see all the riggin I did to it).Hope this helps someone else low on cash.

I had the same problem with a phone I had. I dropped it in the trash because I could not get it to work. Thanks for updating us .

No prob! It's just a way of getting a bit more life out of the remote b4 you go out and spend 30.00 bucks on a new one.
