Sounds like a vacuum line fell off or you have a leak in your intake. Those damn EGR valves are usually the culprit for an intake leak. Put some water in a spray bottle and squirt it all around your intake while the car is running. If you hear the RPMs go up, you've found it.\'94 Camaro 3.4
\"No, Starvin Marvin. just curious, but how does spraying water on a faulty EGR make the RPM's go up? does it clog it or something???*§*Julian*§*
*~*~*~
2000 Grand Prix GTP -Daytona 500 Edition (only 2000 made) - Supercharged 3.8L V6

1998 3.8L V6 A4 Firebird w/ W68 package, Y87, T-TOPS!

MY SITE - CHECK IT!

Yeah, you're right. I have carburetor on the brain. I think it will actually make the RPMs go down for a second because the water will fill the gap before it gets sucked in. Doesn't matter what happens to the RPMs, just look for a change. This isn't to check for a faulty EGR, it's to check for intake leaks at the gaskets. Carb cleaner will do the same thing, but that stuff is expensive.\'94 Camaro 3.4
\"No, Starvin Marvin. That\'s my pot pie.\"

dont use a spray bottle of water, use some carb and choke cleaner, also, yeah, my car is misfiring, and on the scanner, im getting no readings from the EGR valve, and on the manual it said to check to see if its working, my car is having the same problem, so i think that is the culprit, new EGRs are expensive, and in my area all parts stores have to order them.97\' Black Firebird W68
mods as of yet- home depot CAI, Dynomax exhaust, 255 Yokohama tires
