I've replaced the battery, had the alternator checked, and installed a new starter (it needed one). With this all done the voltage slowly dips into the reddish area on the guage and the lights dim just a bit. Any idea on what could be causing this?

even if the voltmeter was wrong, the dimming lights still mean its dropping.97 RS
Member Status: F-Body Owner
Member Number: 7705
Registered: September 13, 2005
Posts: 24
Email Address: hfoxx123@yahoo.com
Location: Minnesota
Occupation: Database Administration
Homepage: http://none
Car: uh a camaro

Dont worry my camaro does that also. For some reason our cars always have problems with that. Ive owned two camaros a thrid gen 84 and now my 95 and they both did it. Its pretty normal for our cars. Beisides buying a slightly smaller pulley to go on the alternator to make it spin faster, theres not a whole lot you can do for it.1995 Arctic White Camaro. 3.4L/A4

\"Stupid men make mistakes, wise men learn from mistakes\"

Yeah ive got the same problem, doing it with my new high output alternator too. Mine isn't quite that bad but when it idles the needle is never contant, every second or so it dips down the goes back to normal...I think it might be because i need a higher gauge ground for my battery though1996 Pontiac Firebird: A4, Flowmaster 80 Series, dual 3\" Stainless Steel tips, SLP CAI, Alpine CDA-9813 deck, Infinity speakers, Alpine Type R sub, MTX Thunder 801d amp, Tsunami 2 Farad Capacitor.
http://www.cardomain.com/id/firebirdfury
