Hyper tech power programmer

I am thinking about getting a hyper tech power programer does anybody have one
and is it easy to use
and another question will it mess up my car
I just wanted to know before i go and buy one.

Back in February, 2002, I bought an HPP3 for my 2001 Camaro. It works just fine. Very simple to use. It is much easier to use than reading a road map.

My view is that it is a little pricey, but worth it especially if you are making driveline mods like different rear-end ratios and different size tires and wheels. Also, helps control (lower) engine operating temperatures (with the proper thermostat) in a variety of situations. It is an easy place to start with mods.

A search of this board will give you many more pros and cons about the HPP3.

I agree totally with 2K1. My first three mods done before I even had 1,000 miles on my car were a lid, Cat-back, and HPPIII. I now have almost 20,000 miles on the car now and have had zero (0) problems.

My only gripe (which doesn't apply to most people) with HPPIII is that you can only adjust for a rear end gear ratio up to 3.42. I have 3.73s so even with the "max." 3.42 setting I am 10% off on my speedometer/odometer.
