  • Put in S.Star 9005 in low beams

I've been trying to improve my lighting in my Camraro & C5 for a long time & over @ the Corvette Forum I found a link to put in Silver Star 9005's in low beam socket. It takes very little modification to the 9005's, & the results really are good for the money.I think its one of the best alternatives for those like me who contemplated true HID conversions, but did'nt want to spend 300+$ or much more.I have tried other 9006's like the "Best Buy" brand,Eurolights,& a few unmentioable others. & they proved to be ureliable.I hope the SS's will last longer than 1 mo. like the Best Buy bulbs lasted.
I wondered if anyone else here has done this?

I had a friend who did that in his 94 3.4, he sold it last spring so i don't know if they are still working but he got two months out of them.

my silvania silverstars lasted me about a year before my drivers side burned out. So i replaced them with the silvania cool blues.. those have been on for a good 4-5 months now no problem. U have to make sure there is a good seal btween the bulb and the lamp or else they will break.
