    i cannot get the metal oil dipstick housing out of the block? any suggestions?

    wiggle it. just a little bit.

    Mine pulled right out, w/the above advice.

      thats not the case with mine, i was even giving it a little tap with the rubber mallet! i guess i will try side to side though.

        Also try twisting it while you pull.

          i had to put a piece of wood on the bottom of the stick (the part that sits in the block/pan) and hit it VERY hard with a mallet to get it to come out.
