I'm sure there has got to be an easier way to change the fog lights on my '95 camaro. Last time i ended up taking off the bottom plastic guard and reaching in from behind. It took me over an hour and was a pain in the a** to change one fog light. I could barely reach and i'm pretty sure it wasn't all the way in because its been less than a year and its out again. Is there an easier way to do it?

Nope, that's about as easy as it gets. I'm wondering how harder the '98+'s are to change (I have a blown bulb on my car that needs replacing). I think of all the things I hated about my '94, changing the fog lights was at the top of the list :mad:

Damn, well in that case i think i can do w/o fog lights for a little longer. :rolleyes:

They aren't too bad. Jack the front end of the car up and theres a little access panel built into either side of the plastic on the bottom. Take out the 2 10mm bolts and the fog light is above that. A good replacement bulb number is 886 (50w). Its brighter than the stock 894(37.5w). Hope that helps.

It takes about 5 minutes to change them on my 99, and I don't have to jack the car up. Two bolts on either side under the nose, twist out the old one, twist in the new one, two bolts back in.
It took me 3 hours to change my signals from amber to clear. PAIN IN THE BUTT! Like you gotta take out the entire bottom of the car just to get to it. CHEVY=COMPLICATION.
But worth it in the end!

98+ fogs you can just go from the top...I used to go through the bottom but you dont need to, just reach down feel for the light and ya got it....I get it every time....
I change the ones on my 94 from the front. It makes it alot easier. I use a flat blade screw driver to pull out the plastic hold ons. Then a set of needel nose pliars to full them out of the fog light assembly. Do both sides and out comes the fog light. Just reverse the process to install. If you drop the plastic peice you can undo one side of the air dam and i should slide out. (underneath) I think there is something on f-body.org under install and fix it guides by b. franker. Check it out.
Well, I have a 'bird, and I used to go from the bottom. But now, if I flip the headlights up, it opens everything up and I can go in from the top. 3 minutes max.
If anyone knows of a 3157 (turn signal) superwhite that will NOT blow out (I am trying to replace the ambers), could you please email me at cbass300@hotmail.com. I have gone threw about 5 APC bulbs, and wouldn't you know it, APC never writes me back after a complaint!
I've always gone from underneath. I can do it in less than 30 minutes, but I've put over 100,000 miles on my 95 Camaro so I know it pretty well by now. I've found that it works best if you reach in from underneath the car, unplug the wiring harness, then remove the bulb. Be careful to remember the orientation of the bulb with your hand. Then replace the bulb being careful not to touch it or get it dirty, of course!! Remember how the old one came out, hold the new one in the same manner so the notches line up. Then replace the harness. Piece of cake and installation only costs you some time. [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img] Good luck.

One of my fog lights is out also :( . I just noticed it last week. I can't remember if I've ever had to replace one before . Can just the bulb be replaced, or is the entire lamp required???
i can change a fog on my 96 in about 10 min from the front of the car. next time i do so ill post some pics or something
look closely at the sides and pull out the small plack pins with a screwdriver or needle nose pliers, thats what i always do. also, dont touch the bulbs with your fingers or youll be replacing them again and again, its something with the oils in your skin that the bulb doesnt like.
