  • need help on tranny removal!!!

    please help i am begging. i cant figure out how to get the dust cover off to get to the torque converter bolts. is there any way on gods green earth to get this tranny out. 4l60e on a 99 maro
    Mods List:FREE ram air mod,FREE air lid smoothing mod,Air silencer removal,K&N Filter,Magna Flow Exhaust. cat delete, 3.42 + lsd.2600 stall tc,alto red eagle complete tranny rebuild.

    pull driveshaft
    disconnect all lines from tranny
    get a really long extension, im talking a 2 footer, lol
    and go to work
    make sure the tranny is on some type of jack,and pull out the tranny straight
    I will take on all comers...or come on all takers!!! Whichever you prefer.

      Why not get a reputable book like a Chilton's or Helms? Both are considered valuable and you can give them an overview on how to R&R the transmission. What's the rush, blow your trans?

        those books dont show the right tranny to remove. it shows something completely different than mine. It is weird, i took it to a shop today and they are going to get it done.
