• Anyone ever go to ZZperformance.com?

Hey guys I just went there the other day and was looking around at the things they had to offer for the L67 and L36 engines. While looking I found that they have a L36 Stage 1 Performance Package. In there description of the package they go on to say, "It was designed to take your daily driven 3800 powered car into the 14's while still maintaining full street-ability. Gas mileage, idle, reliability, and factory warranty should be unaffected by these bolt-ons." The bolt-ons are as follows... ZZP Split Ratio Rockers with Install Kit, High velocity Throttle Body (Stage 1), Fan Switch, 180 mod'd Thermostat, Lightweight Aluminum Water Pump Underdrive Pulley, and a Lightweight Alternator Pulley. I spoke with Zooomer at ZZperformance through e-mail and I asked if the package would work on my 1997 Camaro, if it would through any codes, and how much I would pick up in the 1/4 mile. Zooomer said that yes it would work on my car that any 3800 application works, it wouldn't though any codes, and they usually see about 1/2 second gain with the package. What do you all think? Here is a link to see exactly what I am talking about. L36 Stage 1 Package

Zoomer makes great products for our engines and I personally believe that this package would be worth it. $600 isn't all that expensive for everything you get in the package.

To my knowledge, I don't believe many 3.8 f-bodys run aftermarket pullies, but I would trust what Zoomer tells you.

Rockers are a great alternative to a cam if you don't want to go real deep into your engine as well.

I'm seriously considering some pulleys and the throttle body, if I can use the throttle body without buying a maf+. Gonna call Zooomer when I'm ready. Those rockers would be nice too, but personally, I wouldn't do them without new springs.

I'm going to try the pulleys myself after I get some base times.

OK I have another question for you guys if you don't helping me with it. Now my car is 100% stock other than a K&N filter and Flowmaster (muffler only). Do you feel the rockers and throttle body would be best for my car, since the heads are stock, or to get the cam they offer with the throttle body? I ask this because they say the rockers will allow you to achieve valve lifts of .477" on the intake and .459" on the exhaust. They say it will also increase the effective duration and improve your head flow enough to drop 2 tenths off your 1/4 mile (total gain of 15HP). Now the cam they offer has the following specs...

Duration: 206°/216° at .050"
Intake Lift .315" (.504" lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
Exhaust Lift .315" (.504" lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
115 Lobe Separation

They also said the following about the cam...
The Competition cams VS cam was designed for use with totally stock heads. Stock springs, keepers, retainer, lifters and pushrods are recommended. The VS cam uses a tight base on the exhaust lobe and comp's steepest ramp rate to keep the computer happy. This cam does not set the P0300 code and can be installed on a lightly mod'd 3800 all the way to radical. Look for gains of 40-50 HP depending on your car's current configuration.

Sorry this is so much to read guys just need some help to plan what I want to do. Thanks again for the help.
