Does alloy mean aluminum?

The information that i find when searching about the rims of the car is that they are alloy. Does that mean that they're aluminum alloy? I want to polish them. I have stock 5 spoke 16x8's. Also, those rims that have big holes in them are not cool. [img]smile.gif[/img]

as opposed to chrome, then yes. Alot of times people dont pay attention to that when listing the features of the car. When I bought my car, it said on the internet that they were alloys but they turned out to be chrome. You will obviously know if they are chrome though.
