  • Just got new engine and...

I just had a rebuilt 3.8 put in and when I was driving home from the shop my SES light came on. So I pulled over and noticed that one of the vaccum hoses had come off. I plugged it back in and then noticed that there was something else unplugged but I have no clue what it goes to or what it is. But my SES light stayed on for two days and just went off last night. Should I be worried? Does anyone have a clue what that plug may be?

If you have no clue what it does or where it is, how should we without a picture?

it is the hyper-link. the super conductive low ohm reluctor that connects the maf to the flux capacitor.

If it went away and the car runs fine, don't worry about it. If you're that worried, go to a shop and have it scanned. I don't think Autozone will scan it unless the light is on...and their cheap scanner probably won't show anything.

the crappy scanner they give us at autozone will only pull codes if the light is currently on. you can tell us the light is on so we do it anyways, but chances are the scan will say your car passes... but hey, its worth a shot...

I cant figure out how to post pics here but the cable is unplugged on the left side of the intake manifold and wraps around to the other side of the manifold and goes down, but I can't see what it goes down to. Any info would help. Thanks.
