My friend is getting a new car and he has this aftermarket ignition box that hes going to get rid of. It was in a Mazda 626. Im not sure of the exact name of the ignition but im gunna check tomorrow. He said i could have it for free but i have no idea how the ignition systems would work on different cars. What would i have to check for to see if it would work in my car. Ill post the name of it tomorrow. I was just wondering how veichle specific these things are since i have no idea. Also... would i have to buy new coils?

No point, the ignition on the 3.8L's are plenty strong.
Only real upgrades you can do are plugs & wires.
Maybe Jacobs ignition coils over at grandprixstore.com, but an ignition control device is worthless.2001 75th Anniversary V6 Pewter Firebird w/ Chrome Wheels, T-Tops, & Y87
Mods: Free Ram Air, !Silencer, Holley Filter, Full 3\" Hooker Catback, 3\" Cat
Best time: 15.095 at 90.00 MPH with a 2.127 60\'
