• Drivers vs. Pass. side window switch ?'s

You notice that w/ the driver’s window that you can just hold it for a sec, and it will roll the entire way to the bottom, where as the pass. side you need to hold it till it reaches the end?

Has anybody stopped to look at the difference between the 2, and if you can just swap out the pass. side switch, for one that is supposed to go in the drivers slot, and not have to hold the switch down till the window bottoms out?

I know that it’s sort of a lame thing to do, switch mod…lol but it REALLY gets on my nerves!

I think it's actually a device somewhere in the wiring... not the switch. But, it's an easy fix if you know what to look for!

the drivers side window switch will not go in the passenger side. The passenger side is a single switch, the drivers side switch has both buttons on one switch. It is a lot bigger and will not fit into the window switch plate. Plus there are more components in the system than just a switch...sorry

Buy another relay (window express down), and integrate it into the right window circuit.
You can achieve anything for which you are prepared to pay the price.<br /> --ATTILA THE HUN

yup...get the thing that rolls your windows down by remote....then integrate it into the factory switch....theres a wire under the passenger side by your feet, works the second unlock thingy...anyways if you get the auto roll down thingy you can use that as teh second unlock thing......sorry I had a few drinks cant typee right tonught ;)

I've been thinking about this since day one.
I finaly checked out the wiring diagrams last night.
There's no difference in how the swithes operate, so there's no point in swapping switches.
On the drivers side circuit, they've put a "power window control module" between the switch and the motor. It's mounted under the dash on the driver side.
I'm going to splice in a second module on the passenger circuit. It "should" work!

Ok, I got the wiring diagram here, now what do you want me to do with it?
The parts required are:
12182126...module....$42.88-List
12117399...connector.$33.26-List
I'm sure you can find these at discounted prices from the usual sources.
These are the two basic components required. The connector is specific to this module, and provides leads to splice into the factory harness.
When I find a good place to splice in, additional components will be required to make a factory style connection.
