• Looking for sending unit

I called the dealership yesterday (first mistake), and they quoted me $599.75 for a fuel sending unit. That to me is like a kick in the face with a spiked golf shoe. So, I'm wondering if anyone has purchased one off the internet and if they would be so kind to lead me in the right direction. The only one I can find is for a first gen, and that's not going to work on a 99'....duh...

I certainly hope it's not a "dealer item" only
Nitrous is like a hot chick with an STD....you wanna hit it, but you\'re affraid of the consequences...

http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=244935

That's not the problem. It is integrated with the fuel pump as one assembly. The price they quoted you was for the entire fuel pump and sending unit. You can buy them at the auto parts store for about $350-400 unless you can find a discount source.

I have heard you can buy the sending unit separate from the dealer for about $100, but I have not confirmed that. It sounds to me like you found out otherwise.
