You can get online pricing at:

www.autozone.com
www.pepboys.com
www.napaonline.com

You should consider rebuilding the unit yourself.
Check out:

www.alternatorparts.com

They have online rebuild guides.
You can achieve anything for which you are prepared to pay the price.<br /> --ATTILA THE HUN

you can also go to mr. alternator.com, too. i got my high output on there. but the best bet is to probably have it rebuilt. its cheap, and you can pump up the amperage a whole lot, too.

I bought a new one installed from Pep Boys just recently. WAAAAAAAAYYY less than dealership prices. The Pontiac place wanted $300+, the Chevy wanted $400+!!!!

Bought mine from NAPA a year ago. They have new, not rebuilt like everyone else. The case is remanufactured, but all internal parts are brand new. It was $140 with a lifetime warranty. It's the last one you'll ever buy. If it ever brakes, you get a new one free .

Put a LS1 alternator in there... I promise it will be worth 10hp. j/k

Just get one for autozone or Napa. Real easy to swap in/out. You know where all the tools are.
