  • 3.4L speedo calibration help (for the love of god somebody help me here)

tried a few searches and didn't find much on the topic. I have a friend that is trying to correct the speedo after going to a bigger tire size. I thought there was a programmer sorta like the hypertech for the 3.4 cars that would do that but I am having no luck finding it. any help?

hell, might as well spit it all out, he is tryign to drop a ticket by getting the speedo very off. whats the tallest tire we can fit on the stock rims? he works at a tire shop so *borrowing* a set will be no problem. if we mess with the speedo and actually change the tire size one way or another will that help us or should we just do one or the other?

i plan on doing the exact same thing if i ever get a speeding ticket.....

i'll post a link if i can find it, but there is a $99 calibrator online somewhere with dip switches that can correct rear end gear swaps. it messes wiht the VSS.

if im not mistaken, set it to something like 2.73 gear settings and you should see 5-7-10 mph too low on the speedo.........which made you speed.

members, feel free to correct me, i have had a few to drink.

Granatelli makes a speedo recalibrator that will work on 94+ F-Bodies.
