Car = 1994 camaro RS 3.4L SFI -Automatic Transmission

hey guys i have an issue when im on the freewway ok on the freeway in OVERDRIVE my rpms @ 80MPH = 2400-2500
IN DRIVE on the freeway my rpms @ 80 mph =3400
i could have sworn the rpms on the freewy at 80 mph in od ...when i bought it in april were 2000rpm

in park i idle at about 1000rpms
What the heck thats a little high no?

and i also having a ruff idle when ever im stoped

also my gas guage seems to be off how do i fix that
also latley my low oil light will come on when i start the car not allways but alot latley and it wont turn off unless i turn the car on and off but my oil checks out fine when i check it manualy

..anything you guys can say or deduce ? as to whats up ?

get a tune up, and dont worry about your gas gage...all GM gas gages are crap.

Overdrive I'm @ 74mph @ 2200 RPMS
so most likely we're the same, so don't worry about that.

Yep, everyone's gas gauges are like that, it has to do with the way that our gas tanks are shaped. Best thing to do is set your trip whenever you fill up, that's what I do, and it all works out [img]smile.gif[/img]

I also idle @ 1000rpms

These are not problems at all......just the quirks of our cars. If you want REAL problems, then take a ride in my P.O.S. lol

If you get a lot of weird electrical problems, check out your alternator. I used to think idling at 1000 rpms was normal..After I changed my alternator, it dropped to about 750-800.

I didn't think there were any 3.4 RS's. I thought they were only 3.8 or the older ones with the V8.
